heroes thoughts

I admit I am a sucker for shows with a mythology arc – from X-files to Lost to now Heroes.  I just got done watching this week’s episode where basically nothing happened.  And as such - is it just me or was heroes way better before the spring hiatus?  And has the build up to the season finale next week been rather tediously drawn out especially compared to the pace from earlier in the season?  That’s the problem with tv sometimes – story lines have to be made to fit 24 episodes whether or not the story would better fit in 20 episodes.  Food for thought – I am looking forward to the finale next week for sure, I just think the buildup instead of intensely building up to the climatic scene feels a bit stretched.  Here’s hoping for a big bang ending!

I havn’t seen the last episode yet, as I’m living in Israel, and here they are way behind, but the latest episode sits on my computer waiting to be viewed!

I have to agree with you when you say the first episodes were much better.
They kept us in the dark all the time, popping a new character each episode, connecting it to everyone in a twisted way…
But now, it seems to be moving slowly, stretching each episode to the limit.

I’ll watch the last episode this weekend, and then wait for the finale.
Crossing my fingers that it will be as good as it used to.

ran – my fingers crossed that the producers and writers don’t leave us handing ala lost in the season finale and give us reasonable finality to the sylar story arc. And in fact sylar story arc might be the problem – when it was a big huge unkwown conspiracy with HRG at the helm the show was mysterious. now it’s more of a typical stop the evil monster (sylar) show.
